Carzenide (4-Sulfamoylbenzoic acid) is the major circulating metabolite of Mafenide (HY-B0614) in plasma. Carzenide is a strong CAII competitive inhibitor. Carzenide can be used in the research of epilepsy and cervical cancer[1][2][3]. In Vitro:Carzenide (100 μM; 2 h; pretreatment) renders the fluorescence signal induced by FMRs-CA negligible in HeLa cells[2].
