Boc-Glu (OtBu)-OH is applicable to research on the synthesis of peptide compounds[1].
In Vitro:Boc-Glu(OtBu)-OH (0°C to room temperature, 30 min) readily undergoes intramolecular cyclization to form tert-butyl pyroglutamate upon deprotection of Boc with 4 M HCl/dioxane[1].
