Inosinic acid is an endogenous metabolite. Inosinic acid is used as umami tastant, or as the dietary supplement to improve the yield and meat quality of pigs[1].
In Vivo:Inosinic acid (0.05-0.2%, pi. in the diet for 22 days) exhibits antioxidant activity by scavenging free radicals, and reducing the malondialdehyde (MDA) content in meat[1].
Inosinic acid (0.05-0.2%, pi. in the diet for 22 days) increases daily weight gain (optimal addition amount is 0.129%) and improves the meat quality of the pigs[1].
