Introduction of 127-79-7 :

Sulfamerazine (RP2632) is a brain-penetrant and orally active sulfonamide antibiotic and α-synuclein inhibitor with human α-synuclein KD of 352 μM. Sulfamerazine inhibits the synthesis of dihydrofolate by bacteria, thereby inhibiting bacterial growth. Sulfamerazine inhibits α-synuclein fibrillation, reduces α-synuclein aggregation-associated toxicity and α-synuclein aggregate accumulation. Sulfamerazine can be used for the research of Parkinson’s disease and bacterial infection[1][2]. IC50 & Target:Antibacterial In Vitro:Sulfamerazine (5-25 μM) reproducibly inhibits α-Syn fibrillation[1].
Sulfamerazine (0.31 μM; 24 h) reduces the accumulation of α-Syn aggregates in neuronal SH-SY5Y cells[1].
Sulfamerazine (25-200 μM; 24-48 h) is nontoxic to human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells at concentrations up to 100 μM over 24-48 h, with reduced viability observed only at 200 μM[1].
Sulfamerazine (25-100 μM) exhibits a significant reduction in α-Syn aggregation and associated toxicity in Caenorhabditis elegans model of PD[1].
