7-Oxostaurosporine is a potent protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor that effectively inhibits tumor growth by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting the nuclear factor (NF)-κB/p-p65 pathway[1][2].
In Vitro:7-Oxostaurosporine (50 nM, 24 h) can lead to an increase in plasma membrane sphingomyelin in CHO cells but does not alter ceramide content[1].
In Vivo:7-Oxostaurosporine (6 mg/kg, once daily, intravenous) significantly reduces tumour growth with a tumour growth inhibition (TGI) of 56.1% and no significant effect on body weigh[2].
