Enadoline (CI-977) hydrochloride is a highly selective, brain-penetrating, and nonpeptide kappa-opioid receptor (KOR) agonist (Ki=1.25 nM). Antinociceptive effects[1][2]. In Vivo: Enadoline (i.v.; dose of e 15 min before surgery; male Sprague-Dawley rats) hydrochloride dose-dependently (1-100 μg/kg) blocks the development of thermal hyperalgesia as well as static and dynamic allodynia for over 24 h with respective MEDs (minimum effective doses) of < or = 1, 10 and 10 μg/kg[2].
