3-Hydroxyacetophenone (m-Hydroxyacetophenone) is a hydroxy-substituted alkyl phenyl ketone and also a plant defensin in carnations. 3-Hydroxyacetophenone has antifusarium activity. In addition, 3-Hydroxyacetophenone can be used to synthesize Rivastigmine (HY-17368)[1][2][3]. In Vitro: 3-Hydroxyacetophenone (10-50 mM; 60 days) can inhibit the mycelial growth of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. dianthi[3].
