Introduction of 112398-08-0 :

Danofloxacin is an orally active quinolone antibiotic. Danofloxacin targets bacterial DNA gyrase and inhibits bacterial DNA replication, transcription and growth. Danofloxacin can be used for various bacterial infections caused by Escherichia coli, Mycoplasma and other pathogens[1][2][3]. In Vitro:Danofloxacin (20 h) exhibits significant in vitro inhibitory activity against Escherichia coli isolates from Gushi chickens, with an MIC50 of 0.5 μg/mL; the MIC50 against the quality control strain E. coli ATCC 25922 is 0.125 μg/mL[1].
Danofloxacin (0.008-128 μg/mL; 20 h) exhibits certain inhibitory activity against swine-derived Escherichia coli isolates, with an MIC50 of 4 μg/mL and an MIC90 of 128 μg/mL. The epidemiological cut-off value covering the wild-type population is 8 μg/mL[3].
Danofloxacin (1/4 MIC-32× MIC; 0-24 h) exhibits concentration-dependent bactericidal activity against the Escherichia coli strain JLP95, with significant efficacy observed at concentrations of 4× MIC and above[3]. In Vivo:Danofloxacin (5 mg/kg; p.o. via gavage; every 24 h; 3 consecutive days) with multiple oral administration to healthy Gushi chickens results in widespread tissue distribution, prolonged retention in skin + fat, liver, and lung, and requires a 6-day withdrawal period to meet regulatory residue limits[1].
