Dalfopristin (RP54476) is a semisynthetic sulfone antibiotic. Dalfopristin alone has limited antibacterial activity, but synergistically with Quinupristin it has significant bactericidal activity against many pathogenic Gram-positive cocci[1].
IC50 & Target:Antibacterial[1]
In Vivo:Dalfopristin (12 mg/kg/day, i.v., 7 days) shows no effects on hepatic cytochrome P-450 metabolite complexes in rats[2].
