4-Dimethylaminopyridine is an acyl transfer catalyst. 4-Dimethylaminopyridine is used for labeling and analysis of glycoproteins on the surface of living cells. 4-Dimethylaminopyridine reduces dyskinesia attacks[1][2].
In Vivo: 4-Dimethylaminopyridine (20 mg/kg; s.c.) significantly reduces the frequency of restraint- and Caffeine-induced dyskinesia attacks in tottering mice[2].
