1-Undecanol (Undecyl alcohol) is the main product generated from the degradation of 2-tridecanone by Pseudomonas bacteria isolated from the soil. 1-Undecanol can enhance the attraction of Grapholita molesta to sex pheromone traps[1][2]. In Vivo:1-Undecanol (50-200 μg; mixed with sex pheromone and placed in traps; counted daily; 21 days) can act as a synergist for the sex pheromone of Grapholita molesta, resulting in the capture of more Grapholita molesta, and the 50 μg dose shows the most obvious synergistic effect[2].
