S 1924 is a potent H+, K+-ATPase inhibitor, with IC50 values of 10.3 and 1.6 μM at pH 7.4 and pH 6.0, respectively[1]. In Vitro:S 1924 inhibits the histamine (HY-B1204)- and dbc-AMP (HY-B0764)-stimulated 14C-aminopyrine uptake[1]. In Vivo:S 1924 (0.5 mg/kg, iv) inhibits desglugastrin (100 μg/kg/h, iv)-stimulated gastric acid secretion in stomach-lumen-perfused rats[1].
