Eremomycin (MM 45289; A 82846A) is a potent Vancomycin (HY-B0671)-type glycopeptide antibiotic. Eremomycin shows potent antibacterial activity and can be used for the research of bacterial infections caused by staphylococci and Bacillus subtilis[1][2]. In Vitro:Eremomycin exhibits improved antibacterial activity over Vancomycin (HY-B0671) against 36 Staphylococcus spp. isolates and Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633, with geometric mean MIC50s ranging from 0.3 to 1.7 μg/mL for Staphylococcus spp. and 0.03 to 0.25 μg/mL for B. subtilis ATCC 6633 across multiple media[1].
