Introduction of 110-26-9 :

N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (Bisacrylamide) is an orally active acrylamide dimer and crosslinker. N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide increases CYP2E1, P53, cleaved caspase-3. N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide promotes hepatic cancer. N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide changes sperm abnormality rate and sperm count. N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide decreases the number of various cells in the blood as well as induces liver and testicular damage. N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide is used to prepare polyacrylamide gel[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. In Vitro:N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (10 μM; 24-48 h) promotes proliferation of HepG2 and Huh-7 hepatic cancer cells[1].
In Vivo:N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (3 mg/kg; p.o.; daily; 4 weeks) induces liver damage in male Swiss albino mice, increasing hepatic expression of CYP2E1, P53, cleaved caspase-3, and COL1A1[1].
N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (30 mg/kg; p.o.; gestational days 6 to 17) reduces mean fetal body weight and increases the proportion of anatomical variations in Swiss mice[2].
N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (3 mg/kg; p.o.; daily; 4 weeks) causes severe histopathological changes, fibrosis, and glycogen depletion in testicular tissue in male Swiss albino mice[4].
N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (3 mg/kg; p.o.; daily; 4 weeks) induces DNA destruction in the testis of adult rats[5].
N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (50-200 mg/kg; p.o.; single) causes dose-dependent changes in sperm abnormality rate and sperm count in male ddY strain mice[6].
N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide (12.5-200 mg/kg; p.o.; twice a week; 3-12 weeks) reduces the body weights, and the numbers of erythrocytes, leucocytes, platelets, reticulocytes, and bone marrow cells in the blood of both mice and rats, with more significant effects in mice[7].
