Introduction of 1094-08-2 :

Ethopropazine (Isothazine) hydrochloride is a potent and selective BChE inhibitor, a poor AChE inhibitor and a non-selective mAChR and NMDA antagonist. Ethopropazine hydrochloride has anticholinergic, antihistamine, antiadrenergic actions and properties. Ethopropazine hydrochloride alleviates thermal hyperalgesia in a dose dependent manner. Ethopropazine hydrochloride can be used for the research of Parkinson’s disease[1][2][3][4][5]. IC50 & Target:BChE, AChE[2] In Vitro:Ethopropazine (0-250 µM, 24 h) hydrochloride exhibits dose-dependent toxicity in LAN-5 cells with an LD50 of 28 µM[1].
Ethopropazine (<28 µM, 24 h) hydrochloride exhibits proliferative properties in SK-N-SH cells by enhancing [3H] thymidine uptake[1].
Ethopropazine (10 μM, 24 h) hydrochloride significantly enhances the proliferation of NCI-H69 cells, and this proliferative effect is significantly inhibited by the mAChR3 antagonist 4-DAMP (HY-100958)[2].
In Vivo:Ethopropazine (10-30 mg/kg, subcutaneous administration, single dose) hydrochloride can alleviate neuropathic pain in rats in a dose-dependent manner, and combination with α2 agonists can enhance analgesic efficacy while maintaining safety[3].
