D-Lys(Z)-Pro-Arg-pNA (Chromozym Pca) is a chromogenic peptide substrate of activated protein C (APC)[1].

APC derivatives (2 nM) and D-Lys(Z)-Pro-Arg-pNA (15-2000 µM) are mixed in 0.1 M NaCl, 0.02 M Tris-HCl (TBS, pH 7.5) containing 2.5 mM Ca2+, 0.1 mg/mL BSA, and 0.1% PEG 8000.
The rate of hydrolysis was measured at 405 nm at room temperature in a Vmax kinetic microplate reader.
