Resorcinol can disrupt thyroid hormone synthesis and produce goitrogenic effects in rodent models. Resorcinol can be studied in research for dermatological diseases[1][2]. In Vitro:Resorcinol induces a significant increase in the number of trifluorothymidine-resistant colonies in L5178Y TK+/- mouse lymphoma cells[1].
