Aminomalonic acid is an amino endogenous metabolite, acts as a strong inhibitor of L-asparagine synthetase from Leukemia 5178Y/AR (Ki= 0.0023 M) and mouse pancreas (Ki= 0.0015 M) in vitro. Aminomalonic acid is a potential biomarker to discriminate between different stages of melanoma metastasis[1][2][3]. IC50 & Target:Ki: 0.0023 M (L-asparagine synthetase from Leukemia 5178Y/AR), 0.0015 M (L-asparagine synthetase from mouse pancreas)[2] In Vitro:Aminomalonic acid is a strong in vitro inhibitor of L-asparagine synthetase from Leukemia 5178Y/AR and mouse pancreas (Ki = 0.0023 M and 0.0015 M for the tumoral and pancreatic enzymes, respectively)[2].
