DODMA is a cationic lipid that can be used to prepare lipid nanoparticles. DODMA can be used for drug delivery[1][2]. In Vitro:DODMA has a PH-titrable head group, which is neutral at physiological pH, which is conducive to system circulation. However, in the acidic environment of endosomes, the head group protonates, promotes fusion with the endosome membrane, and is conducive to nucleic acid release[1].
