Saridegib is a potent and specific inhibitor of Smoothened (Smo), a key signaling transmembrane protein in the Hedgehog (Hh) pathway. IC50 & Target: Smo[1]. In Vivo: Evidence from a genetically engineered mouse model of pancreatic cancer demonstrates that Saridegib (IPI-926) can deplete tumor-associated stromal tissue and increase intratumoral mean vessel density. These changes result in enhanced delivery of concurrently administered systemic agents, leading to a decreased tumor burden and prolonged survival in this mouse model[1].
