N-Methylisatoic anhydride is a heteronucleoside anhydride derivative conjugated with biotin and a disulfide linker for specific 2'-OH acylation of RNA. Biotin-conjugated N-Methylisatoic anhydride can selectively capture RNA from a mixture of biological RNA and DNA[1]. In Vitro:N-Methylisatoic anhydride is a 20-OH selective acylation agents of RNAs, and widely used for resolving secondary RNA structures using the SHAPE (Selective 20-Hydroxyl Acylation Analyzed by Primer Extension) technology[1].
