B746 is a clofazimine analog with anti-Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) activity and is less effective when used with clofazimine or streptomycin[1]. In Vitro:B746 (1, 3, 10 μM; 7 days) significantly inhibits the growth of mycobacteria[1]. In Vivo:B746 (p.o.; 10, 20, 30 mg/kg; single dose; first day and 2, 4 and 6 weeks) inhibits Mycobacterial growth in spleen of beige mice[1].
