Trastuzumab emtansine (Ado-Trastuzumab emtansine) is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that incorporates the HER2-targeted antitumor properties of trastuzumab with the cytotoxic activity of the microtubule-inhibitory agent DM1 (HY-19792). Trastuzumab emtansine can be used for the research of advanced breast cancer[1][2]. In Vitro:Trastuzumab emtansine (2 μg/mL; 3 d) significantly inhibits the proliferation of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) cells[2]. In Vivo:Trastuzumab emtansine (15 mg/kg; i.v. three to five times weekly for 3 weeks) exhibits significantly anti-tumor effect in mice[2].
